Undaunted by the home-court advantage natives Zoë and Jason might enjoy, Montana-born Chris believes he has what it takes to win the big money. For one thing, he recently snuck into Cuba for two weeks "just to see what it was like." He arrived in New York via Honolulu in 1998, following a girlfriend who dumped him soon after.

We've set three fugitives -- Zoë, Chris, and Jason -- loose on the streets of Manhattan. They've left their everyday lives behind for a chance to win ten grand.

They'll win the money by staying on the streets for 17 days, completing tasks we assign them and remaining one step ahead of each other and a pack of pursuers.

Who's going to pursue them? You are. Track one down and you'll take home their bounty. The first one captured is worth $500; the second, $1,000; the $10,000 grand prize goes to the last fugitive standing at the end of the game or the viewer who has what it takes to bring 'em in.
